RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Collaborate with clients to understand their landscaping needs and preferences

• Conduct land surveys to assess the site and gather necessary information

• Design and create detailed landscape plans, including plant selection, hardscape elements, and irrigation systems

• Illustrate design concepts using computer software or hand-drawn sketches

• Assist with the creation of preliminary budgets and detailed proposals for customers

• Oversee the implementation of landscape projects, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards

• Provide ongoing support and maintenance recommendations for completed landscapes

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven experience in landscape design or a related field

• Strong knowledge of plants, horticulture, and landscape materials

• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and/or other design tools

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients and team members

• Ability to interpret land surveys and site plans

• Knowledge of irrigation systems and sustainable landscaping practices

• Understanding of local building codes and regulations related to landscaping projects

• Strong project management skills to oversee multiple projects simultaneously

• Valid driver's license

• Note: Experience with ecological landscaping, native plants, edible landscaping and/or permaculture are highly desirable for this role.
