Elementary Principal
Contract Days: 220
Pay Grade: Administrative Level 6
Direct and manage instructional program and supervise operations and personnel at campus level. Provide leadership to ensure high standards of instructional service. Oversee compliance with district policies, success of instructional programs and operation of all campus activities.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in educational administration or related field
Valid Texas Standard Principal Certificate or other appropriate SBEC certificate
Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) certified (or willing to obtain)
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Working knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Ability to evaluate instructional programs and teaching effectiveness
Ability to manage budget and personnel
Ability to coordinate campus functions and support operations
Ability to interpret policy, procedures, and data
Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
If assigned to a Bilingual or Dual-Language Campus, ability to clearly communicate (verbal and written) in both English and Spanish
Five years’ experience as a classroom teacher or instructional leader
