CTE Middle School Teacher - College Career Exploration
Contract Days: 187 Days
Pay Grade: Teacher Pay Scale
Primary Purpose:
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
Qualifications: Education/Certification
Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned
OR
Two or more years of full-time wage-earning experience in the College and Career Readiness
Special Knowledge/Skills:
General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Able to capitalize students’ interests to engage students to become independent learners.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of subjects assigned
Able to use information about individual student to make learning more meaningful and relevant
