Assistant Principal - Bilingual Program
Days Employed: 203
Pay Grade: Admin/Instr - 4
Primary Purpose:
Assist the school principal in overall administration of instructional programming and campus level operations. Coordinate assigned student activities and services.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Master's degree in educational administration or related field
Successful completion of an approved principal preparation program and required exams
Valid Texas Standard Principal Certificate or other appropriate SBEC certificate
Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) certified (or willing to obtain)
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to read, write, and speak both English and Spanish fluently (required)
Knowledge of LPAC procedures, TELPAS and ELPS implementation (preferred)
Possess a thorough understanding of school operations
Strong leadership, management, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to coordinate campus support and operations
Experience:
Three years’ experience as a classroom teacher or instructional leader
