Company DescriptionVichara is a Financial Services focused products and services firm headquartered in NY and building systems for some of the largest i-banks and hedge funds in the world.Job DescriptionMigrate on prem Oracle database to AzureTroubleshoot complex Oracle database issues on premise and on cloud.Maintain database disaster recovery procedures to ensure continuous availability and speedy recovery.Identify and resolve database issues related to performance and capacity.Debug Performance issuesMonitor and report on database storage utilization.Experience writing SQL and the ability to understand what other shave developed.Monitor, tune and manage scheduled tasks, backup jobs, recover processes, alerts, and database storage needs QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent is preferred5 years Oracle Database Administration experience with administering and supporting multiple Oracle databases on Windows/UNIX/Linux platformStrong familiarity with implementation of Oracle in the AZURE cloud and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).Experience with SQL tools/products: DataGuard, ASM, RAC, AWR, GoldenGate, and OEMExperience in tuning, monitoring, and securing SQL databasesExperience in managing and tuning OLTP / DW databasesExperience in SQL / PLSQL development and tuning2 - 3 year experience in AZURE RDS is highly preferred3 year experience with conducting performance tuning, backup/recovery, and scalability/capacity planning, in addition to SQL, PL/SQL, and UNIX shell scriptingFamiliarity with FISMA HIGH, FedRAMP HIGH, and/or Zero Trust Architecture is strongly preferred.Additional InformationCompensation - 120k Benefits:Extended health careDental careLife insurance
