**ABOUT HOTEL EMBLEM AND THE OBSCENITY BAR AND LOUNGE**
Hotel Emblem San Francisco is inspired by the literature phenomenon and unfettered spirit of the Beat Generation San Franciscos most celebrated cultural movement of the 20th century that inspired millions to live boldly and uncensored. A member of The Viceroy Urban Retreats, the upscale 96-room boutique hotel is located where Nob Hill meets Union Square, featuring eclectic guestrooms, stimulating events, rich cultural and wellness experiences, and the authentic hospitality that Viceroy guests are accustomed to.
The Obscenity Bar and Lounge is an intimate space where local happy hours, intimate dates, and San Francisco visitors are equally at home. The lounge draws inspiration from the worlds great hotel bars, including the Savoy in London and the King Cole bar at the St. Regis in New York City. A location where classic cocktails are served with attentive hospitality in an elegant setting.
**Scope of this Position:**
* Retrieves all needed beverage items and garnishes from storerooms and delivers to bar area.
* Buses tables in bar area.
* Helps ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the bar or lounge areas; washes work tables, walls, refrigerators and floors under equipment; sweeps and mops service areas, including floor mats.
* Prepares and serves beverages as needed to assist bartender.
* Retrieves all needed food items from kitchen and delivers to bar area as necessary.
**Qualified Candidates will possess the following:**
* 1 year prior bartending or bar back experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel restaurant.
* High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
* Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time
* Must be able to life up to 20 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally
