VCA Cairo Animal Hospital is seeking a Lead Client Service Representative! VCA Cairo Animal Hospital is a full-service veterinary medical facility, located in Highland Park, Illinois. Location: 1170 Park Avenue W. Highland Park, IL 60035 As a member of the VCA team, your mission will be to win the confidence of every pet parent—by delivering an outstanding client experience—so they will partner with us for the lifelong care of their companion animals. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms Scheduling and confirming appointments Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control) Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence Cultivate an inclusive work environment and strong hospital culture Work cohesively with hospital management and supervisory teams to aid in the progression of the hospital Help with the interview process for potential new hires and onboard all new associates Conduct staff meetings Provide opportunities for staff to gain more firsthand experience Resolve conflicts in a professional and humble manner Refining and implementing protocols Ensure that VCA polices, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented by all members of the technical staff QUALIFICATIONS: • At least one year of proven past experience helping customers • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent • Excellent listening and communication skills • Compassion for pets and people—as well as awareness and understanding of others’ reactions • Proven decision-making skills to choose the most appropriate course of action • The ability to integrate new information into problem-solving • Proficiency in Microsoft Office • Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends and holidays • The ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and be exposed to hazards associated with pets such as allergies, contagious diseases, noises, odors, bites, scratches, and animal waste VCA adds value to your compensation package with the following: · Competitive wage · Medical, Dental & Vision insurance · Opportunity to teach and mentor · 401(k) · Free wellness subscriptions (Head Space and Lyra Health) · Life and Long Term Disability insurance · Paid Parental leave · Pet care discounts · So much more!!
