Job Function Reporting into the Global Director EHS, Color Solutions, the EHS Manager will be based out of Ashtabula, Ohio and will be responsible for assisting other managers in the planning, developing, and managing the implementation of Safety, Environmental and Regulatory Systems for continuous improvement of processes and products, and ensures employees and teams receive training and consulting in appropriate safety, environmental and regulatory tools and methods. Responsibilities Provides leadership, direction and expertise in identifying and coordinating the implementation of world-class Safety, Environmental and Regulatory Systems. Coordinates activities required for site compliance for all sites in the Americas region. Collaborate with other EHS Managers and site representatives for global compliance. Reviews, responds and participates in customer safety, environmental and regulatory surveys and audits. Promotes and leads activities that provide for an injury/illness-free work environment, as well as establish, communicate, and maintain safety requirements/ expectations for department managers. Assures that utmost care and compliance are instituted by all department managers regarding safety, regulatory and environmental compliance. Required Experience Bachelor’s Degree preferred in engineering or chemistry with minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment OR minimum of 10 years of experience in a management role within a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of systems, audits, regulatory, safety and environmental engineering, statistics, and analytical methods. Strong information systems use. Skills include strong problem analysis and root cause problem-solving. Effective influence and persuasion skills. Strong time management and prioritization skills. Effective oral and written communication skills. Strong documentation and idea presentation skills.
