Vibrant is searching for a Hiring and Onboarding Coordinator who will support our mission by hiring and onboarding Caregivers and Direct Support Professionals. This person must demonstrate high organizational skills, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be a team player, have a positive attitude and enjoy working with people with people of different age, race, gender, socioeconomic status and backgrounds.

Basic Functions:

The Hiring and Onboarding Coordinator will interview, hire, and facilitate onboarding of Caregivers and is responsible for new training initiatives and quality improvement methods. The Retention and Onboarding Coordinator must build relationships with all types of staff and be a mentor or resource for them, as they move them through the onboarding pipeline and transition them to the scheduling department. This position serves as the face of Vibrant Homecare for applicants and newly hired staff, and requires a positive, team player attitude. Excellent written and verbal communication, organization and time management skills are needed. The Retention and Onboarding Coordinator must represent the values of the company at all times and is responsible for their own compliance in completing HR paperwork timely and accurately.

Responsibilities:

· Answer phones during high call volume or when scheduling staff is unable

· Basic Office tasks: Scanning/filing documents, sort/prepare mail

· Prepare meeting agendas or documents

· Contact clients/family/direct care staff

· Work closely with Service Coordinators to identify staffing needs and assist with scheduling, as needed.

· Maintain/run best practices reports as assigned by agency

· Interview staff candidates

· Hire staff, completing all necessary/required HR documents

· Facilitate direct care staff orientations/trainings, enroll them in online learning center and follow up for completion

· Develop/improve direct care staff training material or resources

· Complete background checks and OIG checks on direct care staff hired

· Provide ongoing support/mentorship for caregivers

· Build positive relationships with direct care staff

· Provide direct care/housekeeping (position is not intended to be for direct care, but there may be circumstances where the person must fill in for a client visit – see direct care staff job description)

· Utilize staffing referral log to ensure all staff onboarding are being worked on

· Communicate hiring needs to all team members and work closely with admin assistant to ensure jobs are posted and candidates screened appropriately

· Attend weekly staffing meetings

· Assist in de-escalating and problem solving in situations where direct case staff express concern or are unhappy

· Order and Set-Up PERS units

· Always represent the agency professionally

· Seek assistance from managers when unable to complete the responsibilities defined in the job description

· Other duties as assigned

Essential Qualifications:

· Must have successfully completed a minimum of 2 years of college or have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position

· Computer/keyboarding skills: Microsoft office, excel, PowerPoint, Adobe

· Have an interest in serving the elderly or people with disabilities

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to provide customer service to all types of people of different age, race, gender, socioeconomic status and special needs.

· Ability to engage with and work well with diverse direct care staff/direct support staff.

· Ability to manage multiple projects and thrive in a fast-paced environment

· Have a positive attitude and be a team player

Requirements

· Ability to drive to work site locations

· Ability to lift 25-50 lbs., bend, twist, kneel, reach, push, pull and carry

· Valid Driver’s License and auto insurance
