The Traffic Control Technician I is responsible for implementing and maintaining traffic control setups and ensuring the safety of work zones. This role requires diligent observation of traffic conditions, effective communication with team members, and adherence to all safety regulations.

• Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control signs, cones, barriers, and electronic traffic control devices according to guidelines.
• Operate company vehicles and equipment following all safety procedures.
• Inspect traffic control equipment for damage or malfunctions and perform basic repairs.
• Direct traffic flow safely around work zones and construction sites.
• Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding traffic control and safety.
• Ensure accurate and timely setup of traffic control devices to minimize disruptions and maximize safety.
• Participate in safety meetings and training sessions to stay informed about industry standards and best practices.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Work collaboratively within a team environment
• Communicate effectively with the public, offering clear instructions and information regarding traffic changes.
• Willingness to engage in continuous learning and development as part of ViaSun's pursuit of excellence.

• High School Diploma/GED
• Flagger Card Certification preferred
• ATSSA Traffic Control Technician Certification preferred
• Willing to work nights or weekends when needed
• Ability to work in an outdoor environment, withstand extreme weather conditions, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to work flexible hours as project demands.
