Job Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Visitor Services Associate to join our team. As a Tour Guide, you will be responsible for providing informative and engaging tours to visitors, showcasing the unique features and history of our location. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to educate and entertain guests.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular guided tours for the general public, providing insightful and accurate information about the Saint Lawrence Seaway's history, operations, and local ecosystem.
• Tailor the complexity and content of tours to suit diverse age groups and interests, ensuring an engaging and interactive experience.
• Offer exceptional customer service, being approachable, friendly, and professional at all times. Answer visitor inquiries, provide clear directions, and assist with special needs or requests.
• Manage tour schedules efficiently, ensuring timely and seamless experiences for all visitors.
• Handle occasional visitor complaints or concerns with patience, tact, and professionalism.
• Perform light cleaning duties to maintain the Visitor Center's cleanliness and appeal, including wiping down exhibits, keeping display areas free of dust and debris, and addressing cleanliness issues promptly.
• Support the planning and execution of up to three special events annually, contributing to the center's outreach and educational initiatives.

• Strong public speaking abilities, with the confidence to address large groups.
• Ability to educate and entertain guests through engaging storytelling techniques.
• Leadership qualities to guide and manage tour groups effectively.
