Viacore Solutions, LLC is Hiring a Millwright Near Houston, TX

Viacore Solutions, LLC (formerly known as All-State Belting) has been providing our customers with superior quality conveyor belting and accessories throughout North America. Founded as a distributor of bulk rubber and conveyor components, Viacore has expanded its capabilities to include rubber fabrication, field splice installation services, and custom rubber part manufacturing. www.viacore.com

We are seeking to add an experienced millwright to join our team in Houston, TX. This most qualified candidates would be ones with experience doing basic welding and cutting, setting bearings, general maintenance, alignment of pulleys and more. This will involve work in the branch workshop and a significant proportion of time out at customer sites. Travel is required at least 75% of the time to go to customer sites.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of mechanical equipment issues both in-shop and at customer sites
  • Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up
  • Comprehension of conveyor dynamics and material handling fundamentals
  • Perform routine maintenance work on machinery
  • Assemble machinery prior to installation
  • Start-up and testing
  • Understand and read Engineered Blueprints and drawings
  • Shutdown operations
  • Rigging and handling
  • Bearing, seals and packing
  • Keep work area and equipment in a safe, clean and orderly condition
  • Perform duties and operate equipment in a safe and satisfactory manner
  • Responsible time management
  • Accurate documentation of work and timelines
  • Experience in bulk material handling is an asset
  • Laser alignment of pulleys, drives and gearboxes

Job Requirements:

  • Must have a valid unrestricted driver's license
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Comfortable working outdoors, at heights, underground or in confined areas.
  • Must be willing to receive MSHA training
  • Comply with federal regulations on mandatory drug testing
  • Willingness to travel
  • Willingness and ability to work overtime and/or irregular hours
  • Willingness and ability to work in remote locations
  • Mechanically inclined to read work orders, use tools and equipment.
  • Technical training in heavy-weight conveyor belting preferred.
  • At least 5 years of millwright experience
  • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills.
  • Strong commitment to workplace health and safety issues
  • Able to lift and load equipment into vehicle and unload at repair sites.
