Via of the Lehigh Valley, a 2023 and 2024 Top Workplace winner, is hiring a Career Coach to work with the City of Bethlehem providing onsite training to teenagers and young adults ages (18-21) with disabilities. This position is seasonal and approximately 16-24 hours a week Monday-Thursday starting the beginning of June and ending in August. Via is offering a pay rate of $18/hour.
As a Career Coach you will:

• Provide onsite supervision and support to student employees in the MY Work Initiative program.
• Assist students in learning valuable job and soft skills.
• Teach students how to organize and complete assigned work tasks.
• Complete job analysis as needed to develop and implement effective training plans for supporting student employees.
• Continually assist in identifying and recommending changes in work methods to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
• Prepare daily, mid-way, and final reports and records regarding program activities.
• Serve as an employer liaison, maintaining a positive and respectful work relationship with work site staff, supervisors, and other program staff. Giving frequent and systematic feedback to host employer and supervisor regarding site progress.

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent and at least two years of experience providing direct services to youth and/or adults with disabilities OR a Bachelor's degree in psychology, disability services, social services, business, education, or another related field is required.
• Must have a valid driver's license, personal vehicle and appropriate vehicle insurance. Transportation to different municipality sites is required.
• Must have flexibility with the schedule.
• Ability to work in a variety of settings and function in an ever-changing environment.
• Strong communication skills.
