**Child Care Teacher - One Year Olds Ascension Via Christi Child Development Center**

**1035 N St. Francis**

**Wichita, KS 67214**

**Full Time, 40 hours per week**

**Monday -** **Friday** **7:30am - 4:30pm**

**What You Will Do**

Plan and implement child care and educational activities for assigned children.

* Ensure instructional activities are developmentally appropriate and reflect their individual interests.

* Complete required lesson plans and maintain accurate and timely documentation of all required activities and interactions.

* Ensure that assigned equipment and materials are adequately maintained in safe working order and recommends new equipment as appropriate.

* Maintain positive communications with child's parents/guardians and incorporates their recommendations into child's daily routine.

**What You Will Need**

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

* Heart Saver AED credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. In lieu of Heart Saver, Pediatric CPR and First Aid through ASHI, AHA or LifeSaver Learning, Inc. obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date will be accepted.

* Food Service Professional credentialed from the ServSafe National Restaurant Association obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.Will accept Food Handler Card through Food Handler Essentials Course through State Food Safety within 1 Month (30 days) of hire or job transfer date required.

* Teacher credentialed from the State of Kansas preferred.

Education:

* High school diploma or GED required.
