Summary:

We are looking for a Logistics Operations Manager to lead our efforts in onboarding new warehouses and integrating them into our existing systems, particularly Oracle. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics operations, supply chain management, and experience with Oracle systems. This role requires strategic thinking, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Position is necessary to control costs and ensure availability of materials and equipment for Vexus across all business lines. The Inventory Manager will also maintain inventory, order and supply necessary equipment, while also maintaining accurate records.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Telecom materials inventory management
• Daily receiving and issuing of materials for Vexus
• Responsible for filling approved Bill of Materials (BOM) for contractors
• Responsible for tracking issued equipment by BOM
• Responsible for reconciling inventory daily
• Responsible for organization and cleanliness
• Familiar with outside plant construction materials and FTTH Install Materials
• Assesses inventory reports and order patterns to identify items in need of automatic, recurring delivery.
• Learning and calculating run rates and forecasting inventory needs based on run rates and associated milestones
• Perform Monthly physical inventory audits.
• Some regional travel may be required
• Able to communicate effectively
• Ability to run reports and maintain Inventory Control across multiple warehouses ensuring less than 1% Inventory loss through all phases of Inventory Management
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize warehouse operations and reduce costs.
• Maintain a strong focus on compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Act as a liaison between warehouses and other internal stakeholders to address any operational issues or concerns.
• Provide training and support to warehouse staff on Oracle systems and processes.
• Lead the onboarding process for new warehouses, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and processes.

Skills and Abilities:

• Basic understanding of inventory control procedures with 5 years previous experience.
• Keyboarding skills
• Basic Excel spreadsheet skills preferred, but can be taught
• Forklift, Skid Steer and Pallet Jack experience preferred
• Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision.
• Oracle and/or Oracle WMS experience preferred
• Knowledge of Broker/Carrier Transportation processes and ability to manage distribution booking requirements
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times.
• Must be able to navigate warehouse and construction yard and reach items both high and low.
