Responsibilities:

• Organize, prepare, schedule and conduct Life Enrichment activities programs that provide physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual opportunities for the residents.
• Provide Life Enrichment services to residents including assessments, goal setting, care planning and facilitation of individualized interventions.
• Attends all community planned functions and coordinates event from beginning to end including setup, running, and breaking down for the event.
• Provides ongoing communication with residents and, as necessary, family members.
• Help with planning special events.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to sit/stand for periods of time depending on the activity programming being provided.

Personal Qualifications:

• Must have a warm, outgoing and friendly personality so our residents feel welcome and want to participate in activities.
• Life Enrichment Assistants have a strong desire to relate to and work with the elderly.
• They possess high personal integrity, a caring attitude and portray a positive image.
• Life Enrichment Assistants find fulfillment in building personal relationships and providing excellent quality life services.
• Life Enrichment Assistants are committed to doing whatever it takes to enhance dignity in people's lives.

Professional Qualifications:

• CNA preferred but not required.
• Verbal communication skills are important to carry on conversations with residents, co-workers, and visitors in an understandable manner.
• Written communication is also important for the necessary documentation.
• Life Enrichment Assistants are willing to participate in educational sessions, in-service training, and demonstrations.
• Looking for individual that is caring and compassionate in serving those in need and values the Mission of "Dignity in Life".
• Must be able to work some weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Senior Living experience preferred with an emphasis in activities programming.
