Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Load and unload trucks using forklift and or overhead crane.
  • Read production schedule, custom orders, work orders, BOM and drawings, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed.
  • Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Fill requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools or other stock items and distributes items to production worker or assembly line.
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and enters orders for shipping using, but not limited to, UPS, DHL & FedEx (domestic and international).
  • Mark materials with identifying information.
  • Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
  • Weigh or count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
  • Use computer to enter records.
  • Compile worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
  • Maintain inventory records, red tags, VRF's and routine cycle count.
  • Help maintain clean and orderly warehouse.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
HS Diploma or equivalent. Prior stockroom experience helpful but not required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
