Schedule: Veterinary Assistants are scheduled to work four, 9-hour days from 7:20 am – 5 pm, Monday – Friday with one full day off per week. Qualified assistants are required to participate taking an even share of call on weekends (approximately 5 weekends per year with one holiday). Assistants also may be required to stay past the end of their shift to assist the doctor with any emergencies that may arise.
