Schedule:
This position is full time at 35-40 hours/week. No weekends!! 
Who are we looking for?Candidate's must hold an active certification as a veterinary technician. The purpose of this position is to assist our veterinarians to fullest extent with patient care and treatment, educate clients and assist with surgical procedures. This position requires working knowledge of hospital organization and services, basic rules or protocols governing animal patient treatment, data transcribing, word processing and a practical knowledge of standard procedures, veterinary records and terminology used in the hospital.
Requirements & Responsibilities:
  • Must be a certified veterinary technician
  • Assist the veterinarian in exam rooms and use veterinary software for documenting medical notes
  • Perform venipuncture for phlebotomy and catheter placement
  • Obtain laboratory sample collection, process and possibly interpret results (fecal/parasite analysis, ear cytology, skin cytology, urinalysis, blood smears)
  • Perform diagnostic imaging
  • Perform anesthesia
  • Prep patients for and assist in surgery
  • Perform dental prophies
  • Administer vaccines and medications (oral, topical, injectable)
  • Fill prescriptions and review directions with clients
  • Communicate with and educate clients
  • Provide compassionate patient care
