Lake Country Veterinary Care is a small animal general practice (64% dog, 35% cat, 1 % pocket pets) growing and expanding services. We are always open to bringing in new services based on doctor interest such as exotics or house calls! We are located in beautiful Marcellus, New York, near Skaneateles. Come and see the beautiful, scenic Finger Lakes region just 20 minutes outside of Syracuse. Lake Country Veterinary Care is dedicated to providing full-service veterinary care to the pets of our community. We are a well-established community with a loyal clientele that we have built over the last 35 years. We’re focused on making sure our hospital has the right tools to allow our doctors and medical staff the ability to provide excellent service and care. We practice compassionate and comprehensive care, with state-of-the-art medicine, diagnostic services, surgical procedures, as well as in-house laboratory and pharmacy.

We provide full diagnostics as well as advanced treatment options:

  • Full diagnostics
    • IDEXX VetLab: Catalyst One, Procyte, Sedivue, SNAP Pro
    • Digital radiographs, dental radiographs, ultrasound
  • Advanced treatment options
    • Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)
    • Oxygen cages
    • Multiple emergency/specialty-service hospitals within 60 miles

In addition to our equipment and services, you will be met with a team that treats each other like family. We celebrate our success—both personal and professional—and support each other on tough days. This support means that our hospital is ready to welcome you with open arms!

Work & Schedule:

At Lake Country Veterinary Care, you can expect a set weekly schedule of 4 days a week with one set surgery day and three days of appointments. Each day is a 10 hour work day with a 2 hour midday break for lunch. During this time you may also do callback, diagnostic review, and drop off workups as allowed.NO weekends! Woo! and no on-call required. 

Workload looks like 30 minute appointments with an average of 12-14 appointments per day. Drop offs are scheduled based on doctor approval. There is an average of 3-5 surgical procedures or 1-2 dental procedures daily based on individual ability and interest. 

We have a 2 to 1 support staff to doctor ratio (excluding CSRs)
