Veterinary Group of Chesterfield is Hiring a Kennel technician Near Chesterfield, MO

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. As a Kennel Technician, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to our furry friends. This position requires heavy lifting and a strong understanding of animal handling and care.

Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care for animals in the kennel, including feeding, watering, and exercising
- Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas
- Administer medications as directed by veterinary staff
- Monitor the health and well-being of animals and report any concerns to the appropriate personnel
- Assist with cleaning grooming facility and ability to clean up pee, poop, vomit , bodily fluids
-Rotations in our group playtime sessions
- Handle animals safely and securely during check-ins, check-outs, and other interactions
- Provide exceptional customer service to pet owners, addressing their questions and concerns

Requirements:
- Previous experience working with animals in a kennel or veterinary setting is preferred but not required
- knowledge of animal behavior, handling techniques, and basic pet care would be helpful
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods of time
- Excellent communication skills with both clients and team members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
