Job Summary:

The Compliance Director is responsible for compliance to all grants and contracts. This position is also responsible for all data reporting and outcome results reporting. May assume responsibility for special projects relating to department functions. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement internal policies for the agency to comply with federal, state, local and contract requirements.
  • Conducts program evaluation and reviews to determine strengths and weaknesses in data collection and programming outcomes.
  • Database oversight and management, providing reports and data statistics for programmatic outcomes.
  • Conduct periodic internal reviews or audits to ensure program compliance and the program meets all contract requirements; provides leadership and organization for site visits.
  • Work with the management team to promote compliance throughout the programs and report any non-compliance to the Chief Operating Officer for investigation and correction.
  • Provides administrative support for funding contracts and supports internal staff in establishing systems for meeting contract requirements.
  • Oversight and management of agency contracts, identifying any potential risks to the organization and providing support as necessary.
  • Collaborates with other agencies to direct compliance issues for resolution and consults with COO as needed to resolve any non-compliance issues.
  • Provide reports as needed to keep management informed of the program operations and progress of compliance efforts.
  • Provide employee training on compliance related topics, policies, or procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a social service field preferred or 3-5 years’ lived experience in compliance
  • Strong computer skills in: MS Work, excellent Excel skills, PowerPoint, Outlook, Work. 
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Very detail oriented and organized
  • Knowledge of grant compliance
  • Excellent, professional phone skills
  • Experience maintaining files and records both computerized and hard copy
  • Able to fluently read, write and communicate in English
  • Able to comfortably, both mentally and physically, perform all aspects of job description and other duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Ability to prioritize and switch priorities at a moment’s notice
  • Able to effectively interact in a professional manner with a variety of government agencies, state, county city and federal
  • Some supervision experience is desired

Covid-19 Requirements:

VVSD requires require all employees to be fully vaccinated and boosted (once, but may change per contract requirements) for COVID-19. All prospective hires will be expected to provide proof of full vaccination as part of the pre-employment credentialing process.
