We are looking for a competent Security Officer to undertake the surveillance of our premises and protection of our staff and visitors. You will be responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior. A security officer must be well-trained in surveillance and well versed in customer service. The ideal candidate will inspire respect and authority as well as possess a high level of observation. The goal is to help our client in maintaining order.

Responsibilities

• Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
• Report any suspicious activities when necessary to the local authorities.
• Address non-compliant persons and have them removed and trespassed by law enforcement
• Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions
• Submit reports of daily important occurrences

Skills

• Proven experience as security officer or guard
• Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
• Familiarity with digital report writing
• Excellent surveillance and observation skills
• Licensed D security officer

• High School diploma or equivalency is required
• CPR Certified

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $14.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift

Experience:

• Security: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Active Florida D Security License (Required)
