Full-Time Trainee Transport Refrigeration Technician

We are seeking a Trainee Transport Refrigeration Technician to join our team in Charlotte, NC or Roanoke,VA. This is a great opportunity for transitioning service members to work with a national company that has upward mobility. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing diesel systems, with a focus on refrigeration units for transport settings such as trailers, cold containment systems, and railcars. Experience with HVAC systems is a plus but not required as comprehensive training will be provided.

This position offers an initial wage of $20-$22 per hour. After a six-month training period with the company, we will sponsor your certification to become a Nationally Licensed Transport Refrigeration Level 1 Technician, accompanied by a pay raise to $25-$27 an hour. Further advancement opportunities are available if you pass the Level 2 exam to become a Level 2 Technician, which could increase your wage to up to $30 an hour.

Responsibilities:

• Installing, maintaining, and repairing diesel and refrigeration systems
• Identifying maintenance risks on equipment
• Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults
• Cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems, and performing warranty services
• Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently
• Providing technical direction

Qualifications:

• Experience working on diesel systems or military service is a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Clean driving record

Our Ideal Candidate Would Have:

• Experience with troubleshooting Transportation Refrigeration
• Holds Level 1 or Level 2 Transportation Refrigeration Licenses
