Scope
As a general medicine examiner, you will be conducting general medical exams and completing applicable disability benefits questionnaires (DBQs). DBQs help collect necessary medical information so that the VA may process a Veteran’s disability claims.

Role Description
This is a role for a General Medicine professional at Veterans Evaluation Services located in Elizabeth City, NC. As a General Medicine professional, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, timely, and accurate medical evaluations for Veterans and transitioning service members. You will conduct comprehensive medical exams, review medical records, and provide expert opinions to support the disability claims process. This is an on-site role with a medical office requirement.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD/DO/NP/PA) from an accredited medical school
- Board certification or eligibility in a specialty relevant to General Medicine
- Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of North Carolina
- Experience in conducting comprehensive medical exams and reviewing medical records is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Experience working with Veterans or military personnel is a plus
