Seeking a US Veteran, National Guardsman, Reservist, and/or Military Spouse to apply for a Maintenance Director position with the largest private operator and integrator of multiple modes of transportation in the United States. The Maintenance Director oversees fleet maintenance functions and employees, responsible to the General Manager and the City of Phoenix for the proper maintenance and reliable provision of all services stipulated, supervise the daily activities of all mechanics, utility workers, fare collection technicians, and other related staff, and is accountable for all substantive matters pertaining to fleet and associated equipment maintenance. Candidate must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, Class B or higher CDL with passenger and airbrake endorsements, a clear motor vehicle record, and 5 years of management experience of multiple sites in the repair and maintenance of vehicles, and experience working in a union environment.
Pay: $120,000 – $150,000/year
Schedule: Day Shift- Flexible hours
Travel
requirement (as a percent): <5% for travel between properties

· US Military
Veteran, Guardsman, Reservist, and/or Military spouse preferred.

High school diploma or general education
degree (GED) required.
· Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
· 5 years of management experience of multiple sites in the repair and maintenance of vehicles, including experience managing in a union environment required.
· Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s License with passenger and airbrake endorsements required.
· Strong written and oral communication skills required.
· Broad understanding of all mechanical systems related to heavy duty transportation vehicles required.
· Knowledge of federal, state, and local commercial vehicle regulations required.
· Working knowledge of safety and worker compensation policies and requirements.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
· Proven experience in budget preparation and management.
· Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with all company departments, clients, regulatory agencies, vendors, and labor.
