VestraCare is Hiring a Physical Therapist Near ROSCOE, NY
Physical therapists work with patients to improve their movement and manage their pain. PTs use a variety of techniques to help their patients, including hands-on therapy, strengthening and stretching exercises, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, ice/heat, and much more.
STARTING RATE: $33/hr - $37/hr ***Depending on experience***
SHIFT: Full-Time, Days
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conducting physical and psychological assessments of clients to understand their physical condition and develop or follow a treatment plan
- Participate in family care plan meetings and educate caregivers and family members of clients on patient care
- Creating personalized fitness-oriented healthcare programs for patients
- Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve mobility
- Consult and collaborate with other healthcare professionals regarding patients
- Documenting patient care history
- Demonstrate ability to work with geriatric residents
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Physical Therapy from a program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) required
- Current PT license in NYS required
- Must have knowledge, skills, and techniques of age-specific developmental factors and be able to evaluate patients
- Must have up-to-date knowledge of treatment practices and physical therapy programs
- Experience in long-term care preferred
- Must be flexible, punctual, professional, and reliable
- Strong customer service skills and compassion
