Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Irrigation Technician to join our team. As an Irrigation Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems for the golf course. This is a hands-on position that requires mechanical knowledge and a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

- Perform regular maintenance on existing irrigation systems

- Troubleshoot and repair any issues with irrigation systems

- Monitor water usage and adjust irrigation schedules as needed

- Inspect and replace faulty or damaged components, such as sprinkler heads, valves, and pipes

- Ensure proper functioning of timers, controllers, and sensors

- Aerifies greens; verticuts and or mow tees and greens; spikes greens; opertates sod cutter, spray rigs for greens and fertilizer spreaders; and mows rough with rotary adn operates other equipment as directed.

- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used

-Water greens, tees and fairways.

Skills:

- Strong mechanical knowledge related to irrigation systems

- Ability to build, dig, and landscape as needed for installation or repair

- Proficiency in using power tools for installation and maintenance tasks

- Familiarity with hand tools commonly used in irrigation work

- Knowledge of different types of sprinkler heads, valves, pipes, and other irrigation components

- Understanding of landscape maintenance practices related to water conservation

- Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions

- Attention to detail to ensure accurate installation and precise adjustments

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
