Vestas is Hiring a Global Succession and Talent Partnering Director Near Portland, OR

Vestas Global Talent Management Department plays a critical role in identifying, developing, and retaining global talent within our organization. As part of our team, you will assist in charting the course for our workforce's future and promote a mindset of ongoing development.

The Head of Global Succession and Talent Partnering is responsible for designing and implementing succession planning strategies that align with the organization's business goals. This role focuses specifically on succession planning and talent partnering. You will play a critical role in ensuring the organization has the right talent in place to ensure growth and achieve its goals.

Resposibilities:

  1. Succession Planning:
    • Develop and implement robust succession planning processes across the organization.Identify and assess high-potential employees and create development plans to prepare them for future leadership roles.
    • Work jointly with executive leadership and People & Culture colleagues to pinpoint the essential skills and expertise needed for the organization to thrive.
    • Develop and implement succession strategies for critical roles to facilitate seamless role transitions in the event of vacancies.
  2. Talent Partnering:
    • Build solid relationships with business leaders and department heads to understand their talent needs.
    • Act as a strategic partner, advising on talent-related matters and providing insights to improve business performance.
    • Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements and create effective job descriptions.
    • Support talent acquisition efforts, including sourcing strategies, external partnerships, and employer branding activities.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 6-10years of relevant work experience in talent management, succession planning, or related HR roles.
  • Comprehensive understanding of talent management best practices, including talent acquisition, employee development, succession planning, performance management, and retention strategies.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing talent management programs and initiatives in a global organization.
  • A mindset focused on evaluation to determine staffing requirements, monitor advancements, and base decisions on factual data.
  • Strategic insight for harmonizing employee growth plans with corporate targets.
