Vestaron has earned global recognition for its work, including the inaugural 2015 Bernard Blum Award for a novel biocontrol solution, the prestigious Green Chemistry Challenge Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in 2020 and “Best New Biologic Product” at the 2021 IHS Market Crop Science Awards.The Opportunity:Vestaron is currently recruiting a Legal and Compliance Paralegal to join our team in Research Triangle Park, NC, reporting to the General Counsel. This role will be primarily responsible for meeting the contracting needs of Vestaron and supporting the Legal Department’s Compliance and Intellectual Property protection mission. The role is intended for a senior or mid-career paralegal with a history of supporting contracting in an law firm or in-house setting. Expectation is that most of the time will be in-person at the office, but a hybrid-remote schedule is possible. Responsibilities:

- Lead the contract fulfillment function of Vestaron including respond promptly to requests for contracts from Vestaron employees, negotiate with third parties over contract language in accordance with playbooks and guidance from General Counsel, ensure contracts are executed in compliance with company policies, and ensure that finally executed agreements are entered into contract database with 100% fidelity
- Provide administrative support to the Compliance Committee
- Provide administrative support to the Intellectual Property Management Committee
- Manage and liaise with Finance on Legal Department Budget matters
- Prepare Legal, Contracting and Compliance performance analytics/metrics
- Assist the General Counsel in strategic transactions and dispute resolutions
- Assist the General Counsel provide training to Vestaron employees (e.g., Negotiation, Compliance, IP etc.)
- Strong organizational abilities
- Strong written communication skills
- Strong customer service mindset
- Demonstrated ability to work with little supervision and with a strong sense of ownership
- At least 5 years of legal professional experience supporting contracting
- Experience with contract databases (Agilfot)
- Experience with eSignature software (Docusign)
- Experience with Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of contract law fundamentals
- 10 years of legal professional experience
- Interest/background in intellectual property
- Interest/background in compliance
- In-House experience for a company in an IP intensive field (e.g., Life Sciences, Ag Tech)
