Vestal Park Rehab and Nursing Center -
Vestal Park is looking for a highly motivated person to join our Maintenance team. Job responsibilities will be painting, janitorial and light Maintenance.
Hours are 7 : 00am-3 : 30pm Monday - Friday with the possibility of call -ins on the weekends and holidays. Come join our team in our beautiful building.

Job Summary
Works under the direction of the Building Maintenance Manager performing a variety of skilled jobs including the maintenance and repair of the building and equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Except as specifically noted, the following functions are considered essential to this position :
- Implements all aspects of preventive maintenance program
- Repairs emergency breakdowns as quickly as possible, giving priority to work that is urgently needed
- Performs general plumbing repair such as replacing and unclogging hair traps, unplugging toilets, repairing washers and dryers
- Maintains and replaces electric outlets and light bulbs, rewires or replaces wiring in various equipment including the laundry
- Performs repairs and preventative maintenance on washers, dryers, kitchen equipment and appliances
- Performs carpentry and painting as assigned
- Assists in maintaining the grounds in a clean and orderly fashion
- Plows parking lots with company truck; cleans and salts sidewalks
- Keeps maintenance shop and all work areas clean
- Performs a variety of related duties as assigned
- Works on call and overtime as required
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; supplementary education is desirable
- Must be able to read, write and follow instructions
- Prior building maintenance experience plus an understanding of electrical equipment, plumbing, building maintenance, carpentry and ancillary equipment required
- Driver license is required
