Position SummaryThe Quality Inspector I role is responsible for aiding the quality engineers and quality department. Inspector I is responsible for the day-to-day recording and validation of material between customers, vendors and operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Inspects materials and products, for conformance to specifications
  • Inspects finished product for quality and customer requirements
  • Carry out policies and procedures for testing and evaluating product
  • Responsible for operating mechanical and electrical test equipment
  • Working to Standard Operating Procedures (work instructions)
  • Assist in recording of non-conformities of parts/product
  • Assist in the controlling/segregating of conforming vs. non-conforming parts /product
  • Ability to meet key performance metrics in a timely matter
  • Work safely at all times and report any unsafe conditions or injuries to your supervisor or manager immediately
  • Assesses own strengths and weaknesses; Pursues training and development opportunities; Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills; Shares expertise with others
  • Displays willingness to make decisions; Exhibits sound and accurate judgment; Supports and explains reasoning for decisions; Includes appropriate people in decision-making process; Makes timely decisions

Position RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education and Experience:
  • 1-3 years of experience of relevant experience
  • High school diploma or GED, and up to one year work experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge
  • Ability to perform calculations utilizing arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division normally attained through elementary school education.
  • Ability to perform calculations utilizing algebra and fractions.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of Catia and/or Verisurf is a plus
Communication Skills:
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Physical Requirements:
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
  • The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
