Position SummaryThe Quality Inspector I role is responsible for aiding the quality engineers and quality department. Inspector I is responsible for the day-to-day recording and validation of material between customers, vendors and operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspects materials and products, for conformance to specifications
- Inspects finished product for quality and customer requirements
- Carry out policies and procedures for testing and evaluating product
- Responsible for operating mechanical and electrical test equipment
- Working to Standard Operating Procedures (work instructions)
- Assist in recording of non-conformities of parts/product
- Assist in the controlling/segregating of conforming vs. non-conforming parts /product
- Ability to meet key performance metrics in a timely matter
- Work safely at all times and report any unsafe conditions or injuries to your supervisor or manager immediately
- Assesses own strengths and weaknesses; Pursues training and development opportunities; Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills; Shares expertise with others

Education and Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience of relevant experience
- High school diploma or GED, and up to one year work experience preferred
- Ability to perform calculations utilizing arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division normally attained through elementary school education.
- Ability to perform calculations utilizing algebra and fractions.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Knowledge of Catia and/or Verisurf is a plus
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
- The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
- The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
