SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The primary responsibility for this position is to support engineering, project planning, OSP construction, 

Teams and other required activities needed by the project. This position may also assist with the development of project tracking and reporting methods.

 
DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Outside Plant CM/Inspector – Maintain Control of Outside Plant Activities:

• Supervise subcontractor crews performing work on all outside plant fiber builds, for CCSI Networks clients. Ensures that construction crews are performing safely and in accordance to the contract specification and project schedule. 
• Quote jobs for customer tie in, determine the material needed for each job, and work side by side with Sr Project Manager and Crew Foreman on all construction and splicing projects
• Assist splicers when needed to run or assist with cut-overs, available all times of the day to assist on troubleshooting.
• Determine and follow client procedures for OSP fiber cable splicing, testing, termination, and documentation. 
• Responsible for interpreting and understanding utility records and maps to compile field notes used for CADD and engineering purposes this would include Asbuilt requirements.
• Responsible for evaluating construction by using knowledge and experience to make recommendations for changes running line or construction needed for environmental conditions, utility congestion, or construction access.
• Required to understand and actively be involved in the engineering and construction process as required. 
• Responsible for documenting daily activity for each job site by following company guidelines and procedures as required with written documentation. 
• Capable of documenting existing field conditions using various data collectors, documents and provides picture or red-line documentation for support. 
• Coordinate daily schedules with internal crews or sub-contractors as required. Monitored and report on projects and update client forecasted completion dates. Monitor project compliance and ensure the project stays within budget objectives.
• Review client tie-in and ensure internal crews or sub-contractors understand the build packages. Coordinated the splicing and help figure out the schematic for the customers tie-in 
• Knowledge of OSP Aerial make-ready, validation and construction

Utility Locator Capabilities – Coordinate and Protect Customer Underground Facilities:

• Validate that client facilities are locate properly prior to construction. Required to be able to read and understand as built drawings, maps, and atlas to assist in accurately locating multiple customers’ facilities.
• Ability to ID various locates including fiber, sewer, water, electrical, etc. 
• Identified and documented field/as-built discrepancies to provide to the customer for resolution.
• Required to observe construction and forward any conflicts that could cause harm or damage to the customers facility.
• Coordinated and provided on site watch and protects for the customers facility as needed.
• Travel will be required from time to time
• Team Player who was able to easily transition to different geographical areas as needed for others that were on vacation. 
• Ability to maintained an excellent relationship with customers by keeping an open line of communication and following their project requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• HS / AAS degree and a minimum of three to five years’ experience, or a combination of relevant experience, as an assistant or in a similar role involving high – level support
• Valid Driver’s License, Mandatory / Radom Drug Testing is a requirement 
• Knowledge of and experience with MS Office (specifically Word, Excel)
• Ability to use emerging technology and tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Great organizational skills; must be detail – oriented
• Outstanding ability to prioritize and multi – task
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
