Job Title: Data Scientist

Date: 03/05/2024

Location: Nationwide

FLSA Status: Exempt

Purpose:

The Data Scientist will support the leasing, development and marketing teams with insights gained from analyzing company data. The candidate must be adept at using large data sets to find opportunities and process optimization and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action. To succeed in this position, you must have strong experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building, and implementing models, using/creating algorithms, and creating/running simulations. You must have a proven ability to drive business results with your data-based insights. This also includes working with both internal and external customers to understand their needs, developing RF plans for new and existing towers utilizing RF performance metrics and RF propagation tools, as well as designing and delivering technical presentations. The candidate must have a strong understanding of RF principles and technologies with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.


Job Functions:

  • Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company.
  • data to drive business solutions.
  • Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.
  • Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
  • Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
  • Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes.
  • Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
  • Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
  • Develop company A/B testing framework and test model quality and stay up-to-date on the latest RF technology and industry trends and providing executive reporting.
  • Design RF plans for new and existing tower sites, including determining the optimal placement of antennas and other RF equipment.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

Position will involve travel to Florida for periodic company meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, RF engineering, or a related field, or related experience.
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of professional experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods.
  • 5 years of experience in RF sales or RF engineering.
  • Strong understanding of RF technology.
  • Experience working with RF planning and propagation tools.
  • Experience in data modelling, process mapping and specification documentation.
  • experience querying databases and using statistical computer languages: R, Python, SLQ, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience applying data science methods to real-world data problems.
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining system processes and procedures.
  • Experience in creating business cases for technology-related solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in creating business cases for technology-related solutions.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and discussion sessions.
  • Experience completing projects on time, on budget and to specification requirements.
  • Proficient MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio user.
  • High level problem solving and analytical skills with ability to analyze multiple data sources, including crowdsource KPI data.
  • Active listener with the ability to think strategically, solve problems and negotiate.
  • Strong ability to engage and influence stakeholders, at all levels across the business.
  • Strong organizational skills including outstanding accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks, use initiative and be self-directed to meet deadlines.
  • Effective in an entrepreneurial culture, working independently and as part of a team.
