We are seeking an eager, detail-oriented insurance billing representative to join our growing team! Our ideal candidate has a working knowledge of the insurance industry, strong communication skills, a passion for collaborating with others, and a knack for problem-solving. While previous work experience as a billing specialist working with clients, coordinating payment plans, or resolving billing issues is helpful, we support our team members in honing their recordkeeping skills to take a customer service approach to billing. Responsibilities:

Submit insurance claims and follow up on unpaid, rejected, or denied claims to resolve and resubmit when required

Respond quickly to customer and colleague inquiries related to account status, outstanding charges, and billing activity

Issue refunds, transfer of responsibility, and adjustments, as needed, and update accounting records

Prepare invoices, reconcile billing, compile reports and other documents using billing software, and field related questions from internal teams and customers

Audit customer bills and invoices for completeness and seek additional payer information, as needed

Qualifications:

Evidence of success meeting firm deadlines and proactively seeking results is necessary

Research and problem-solving skills are required to facilitate collections, fix errors, and assess denials

High school diploma/GED or equivalent required, associate degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred

Experience working in accounts receivable billing, or insurance, or as a customer service representative or data entry specialist is a plus

Exemplary communication, organization, and math skills are essential to excel at working effectively with clients and ensuring accuracy in billing

Must live within daily driving distance of the office

Must have working rights in the USA

Accounts receivable management experience required, quickbooks a plus
