The Opportunity:
Verona pharma is currently recruiting a highly strategic and analytical Director, RWE and Value Strategy, reporting to the SVP, Medical Affairs. In the role of Director, RWE and Value Strategy, you will be responsible for leading our efforts in demonstrating the clinical, humanistic, and economic value of ensifentrine for COPD through the use of real-world data. The Director, RWE and Value Strategy will be pivotal in developing and executing a robust HEOR strategy that encompasses real-world evidence generation, economic modeling, and value communication to ensure the successful market access and adoption of ensifentrine.

Responsibilities:
 
  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive HEOR strategies to support ensifentrine pre- and post-FDA approval as well as ensuring alignment with clinical development and commercial strategies.
  • Design and oversee the analysis of real-world data, including claims data, EHR data, specialty pharmacy data, and patient registries to generate evidence supporting the clinical and economic benefits of ensifentrine.
  • Direct the planning and execution of phase IV post-marketing studies to evaluate long-term efficacy, safety, and health outcomes related to ensifentrine use in a real-world setting.
  • Develop cost-effectiveness models and budget impact analyses to illustrate the value proposition of ensifentrine to payers, providers, and patients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate the value of ensifentrine effectively through publications, presentations, and discussions with key stakeholders, including payers, healthcare professionals, and regulatory bodies.
  • Guide the development of innovative value-based contracts and reimbursement strategies in collaboration with market access and pricing teams.
  • Engage with key opinion leaders and decision-makers to understand evolving trends in COPD management and incorporate insights into HEOR activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements associated with HEOR study design and implementation.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
 
  • An advanced degree in health economics, outcomes research, epidemiology, pharmacy, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in HEOR, with a proven track record in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, particularly in the respiratory therapeutic areas.
  • Demonstrated experience with the analysis of large datasets, real-world evidence generation, and advanced understanding of biostatistics and epidemiology.
  • Strong understanding of the US healthcare system, payer landscape, and FDA regulatory requirements related to HEOR.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex analytical findings into strategic implications for varied audiences.
  • Strategic thinker with a strong analytical mindset and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Knowledge of applicable industry guidelines and standards.
  • Demonstrated project management, organization, and time management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
