Job Description:

Vero Networks is seeking a passionate and results-driven Community Relations Manager to play a pivotal role in launching new fiber markets by interfacing with municipalities and permitting entities. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering positive relationships with local government bodies, securing the necessary permits, and ensuring a smooth and efficient entry into new communities. This is a unique opportunity for a talented professional to make a lasting impact on the expansion of high-speed internet access.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop high level designs, either personally or via contractor by gathering geospatial data to include address points, building polygons, parcel polygons, road centerlines and pole points from publicly available or paid data sources to be used for market evaluation, grant application submissions and competitive industry analysis.
  • Utilize QGIS and Comsof/IQgeo software for fiber optic network design and analysis.
  • Identify required project permits, interface with permitting authorities to understand permit requirements, application process and prepare and submit permit applications.
  • Develop low level designs and coordinate required fielding, either personally or via contractor.
  • Load low level design into Verofy (or other GIS system of record).
  • Utilize CAD software to draft construction and permit drawings of the network design.
  • Review engineering drawing and permit submission package details.
  • Develop splice plans, either personally or via contractor and ensure designed circuits fall within acceptable loss budget.
  • Manage fiber assignments in Verofy (or other GIS system of record).
  • Review and approve fiber test results.
  • Ensure accurate upload of as-built documentation into Verofy (or other GIS system of record).
  • Generate network maps for CO 811 updates.
  • Track fiber utilization and initiate overbuild/capacity additions in advance of exhaust.
 

Qualifications:

  • Previous telecommunications and/or broadband industry experience preferred.
  • Experience using GIS mapping programs. 
  • Experience with CAD software drafting construction and permit drawings 
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience using QGIS and Comsof/IQgeo software
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
 

WHAT WE OFFER:

  • Salary range of $70k-$80k DOE with Potential of 5% bonus
