- Ensure that production machines including CNC are repaired on a priority basis and in a safe manner.
- Prepare and monitor the preventative maintenance schedule and make corrections on a timely basis.
- Ensures that the spare parts are properly stocked, inventoried and that parts are ordered to come in as needed.
- Plan for downtime repairs and projects.
- Schedules quarterly and yearly inspections for building systems are that completed by outside sources (i.e., Fire alarm, sprinkler system, main air compressor).
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal codes and regulations.
- Plans and coordinates work, trains and motivates, monitors and yearly evaluates performance, counsels, records and disciplines all supervised employees.
- Ensure that all team members receive training hours consistent with the company’s goal each year.
- Other duties as assigned.
- An associate degree with 5-10 years' experience working as a Maintenance Supervisor who understands and adheres to a professional standard.
- Knowledge of proper machine repairs techniques and general building maintenance.
- Must have a working knowledge of OSHA and environmental rules and regulations.
- PLC and robotics skills are crucial.
- CNC repair and maintenance is essential.
- Should be able to read electrical schematics.
- Should understand electricity and the proper safe manner with which to work with it.
- Must be able to multi-task multiple projects simultaneously, under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Analytical, creative thinking, problem solving, and effective communication skills are important.
- Understand safe machining practices.
- Leadership skills are important.
- Must be able to identify, inspect and repair equipment including CNC
- Frequently operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
- Constant need for the accurate exchange of information through the phone, computer, and in-person
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for over 20% of day.
- Constantly moves safely about the building to conduct business.
- Frequently needs to ascend/descend ladders and position self under machine.
- Frequently positions and transports 45 lb. of equipment.
- Constantly must wear common protective or safety equipment – ANSI Z87.1 2003 standard safety glasses are required in plant.
