BASIC SUMMARY

We are looking for a Field Service Technician to deliver the desired customer service experience. The goal is to drive service success that improves customer satisfaction, maximizes customer retention and increases profitability.

Under direct supervision of Field Service Development Manager, Visit client sites, build client relationships, advise clients, and sample plants.

This role is ideal for someone knowledgeable in the cannabis industry.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches
• Tie workflow to schedule
• Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations / briefings
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers
• Take samples and run analysis testing when applicable
• Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization in a timely manner
• Documentation and data tracking
• Follow technical protocols and procedures
• Operate vehicle in a safe manner

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven cannabis industry experience
• English literacy
• Proficient time management and communication skills
• Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules
• Comfortable with travel position

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Preferred qualifications for a Field Service Technician may include a combination of technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and customer service abilities.
• Candidates with relevant experience or education in the cannabis specific industry.
• Familiarity with specific tools, cannabis terms and facts.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues are highly valued in this role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effectively interacting with customers and colleagues.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to different locations may also be preferred qualifications.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• They may be required to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders or lean over grow tables, and work in physically demanding environments such as greenhouses both outdoor and indoor settings.
• Field Service Technicians may need to bend, stoop, or crouch for long periods of time while performing sampling techniques for test tubes as well as data tracking.
• They must have the physical stamina and strength to carry out these tasks safely and effectively.
• Additionally, they may need to travel to different locations, which can involve long periods of driving or standing. Overall, being in good physical condition is important for this role.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• The work environment of a Field Service Technician can vary.
• They often spend a significant amount of time traveling to different locations, such as customer sites or worksites, which can be in various settings such as construction sites, industrial facilities, or residential homes.
• Field Service Technicians may need to work outdoors and in different weather conditions.
• They may encounter physically demanding situations, such as climbing ladders, maneuvering in tight spaces, or lifting heavy equipment.
• It is important for them to be adaptable, have good problem-solving skills, and be able to work independently while also effectively communicating with customers and colleagues.
