Position: Vermont Compost Company is seeking an experienced Front End Loader Operator to join our team. The Front End Loader Operator is a member of the compost operations team and plays a critical role in the creation of our compost-based products.

Qualifications and Requirements: The Front End Loader Operator will participate in moving compost feedstock, building and turning compost windrows, and transporting compost for production in a safe and efficient manner. Additional duties may be assigned as needed. Success in this role will require 5 years of front end loader experience, the ability to work effectively in a team environment, and a willingness to work in various weather conditions.

Preferred qualifications for this position include five years of experience operating an excavator and knowledge of compost making practices.

Compensation and Schedule: This is a full-time position with an pay range of $20 - $25 per hour plus a generous benefits package including health, dental and vision insurances; a Simple IRA retirement plan with company match; short and long-term disability insurance; life insurance; an Employee Assistance Program; employee-pricing; and paid time off.

The position is based in Montpelier, VT and most work will be performed during regular business hours, Monday - Friday; work outside of regular business hours will occasionally be required.
