Vermont Comforts of Home is Hiring a Remote Home Provider

Now offering a $1,000 sign on bonus; $500 to be received after the first successful 30 days and another $500 after another successful 90 days and extended annual contract.

Vermont Comforts of Home (VCOH) is currently seeking individuals to open up their homes and provide support to people looking to live in a home atmosphere while receiving the care they need. To be a contracted Home Provider, you must physically reside in the State of Vermont.

Home Providers are independent contractors who receive a generous, tax-free Difficulty of Care (DOC) stipend, monthly room & board payments, a respite budget to manage how you want, and ongoing training & support.

  • Difficulty of Care (DOC) stipends vary based on level of care but can range, annually, from $35,000 to $55,000 . All DOC stipends are tax-free and are paid out on a twice a month schedule.

Vermont Comforts of Home (VCOH) serves elders and others with physical, emotional and medical disabilities who are no longer able to live independently in their own home due to their medical care needs but are looking for an alternative to living in a care facility. We support older people and others who need a nursing home level of care to remain in the community of their choice. We are committed to the belief that all people, regardless of their age or care needs, should have a voice in where they live and how they are supported.

We provide home support, service coordination and respite support throughout Vermont. By identifying caring, reliable Vermonters who are interested in sharing their home with someone in need of support, we are able to provide services which are individualized and specific to those we serve. You will join a team full of compassionate and caring individuals who are looking to make a difference in someone's life.
