Job Summary and Scope:
Provides excellent customer service by making prompt and courteous deliveries of customer orders. Makes pick-up as necessary. Performs general warehouse duties and ensure that orders are pulled, packaged, converted, shipped, loaded, and received accurately and free from visible damage and defect.
Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all necessary documents are valid and compliant (registration, HazMat transportation permit, insurance cards, commercial drivers license, etc.)
• Safely operate all company-owned, leased, and rented vehicles.
• Safely operate assigned vehicles and equipment, adhering to all City, State, and Federal traffic laws and motor carrier regulations, as well as observing all Company Safety rules and safety procedures.
• Make all deliveries within the time parameters set by management, making certain that all merchandise delivered is accurate and in good condition.
• Inspects, fills and stages orders in accurate, thorough and efficient manner in accordance with established Company standards and procedures. Understands unit of measure.
• Inspects merchandise to include checking for shortages and rejecting damaged goods.
• Communicates shortages of merchandise through proper channels to ensure accurate billing.
• Receives, stocks, and re-warehouses merchandise on a daily basis as requested by immediate supervisors. Understands warehouse locator system.
• Prepares product for shipment to include packaging for safe shipping, plus labeling and marking.
• Handles stock in a careful and safe manner; conscious of quality and eliminating damage.
• Practices and adheres to established safety rules and policies, as well as, established housekeeping standards. Performs equipment safety review. Reports any violations or hazards to management immediately.
• Operates assigned warehouse equipment in performing the functions of the job
• Load or unload trucks making sure that: truck is chocked or otherwise secured before attempting to unload and load the product; truck bed is clear of debris, obstruction, or defect for safe entry/exit; incoming product is free from damage and coincides with packing list or Return Authorization, and freight is appropriately positioned and secured in the truck.
• Use computer equipment to generate labels, check stock, input data for shipping status, prepare UPS shipments, create shipping manifest, etc.
• Immediately report safety hazards with equipment or within a facility.
• Use required Personal Protective Equipment; harness & tether when operating order picker; safety glasses when working with strapping, drill press; gloves when handling coils of steel strapping and large drums; face & neck shield, rubber gloves, rubber apron when working with batteries; all required PPE when responsible for spill cleanup; and safety shoes at all times. Must meet ANSI Z75 standard.
• Housekeeping work area assignments must be kept clean and free of debris
• Other duties as assigned.
• Qualifications / Knowledge & Experience:
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 23 years of age with at least two years verifiable Class A driving experience
• Class A license, Hazmat Certification (if applicable) and compliant with all regulatory requirements
• Experience operating material handling equipment
• Proficient math skills in unit of measurement and multiplication, division, addition, subtraction
• Physical ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to include ability to converse proficiently in English as required by DOT regulations
• Attentive to detail; accurate and thorough
• Ability to work independently, fast, and efficiently
• Team worker willing to do what it takes to get the job done

• Walking/Standing - walk throughout the warehouse to complete customer orders. Stand when operating order picker or reach truck equipment and when operating cutter.
• Sitting - sit only when driving a sit-down forklift.
• Lifting - lift items weighing a few ounces up to 150 lbs with assistance.
• Average lifting would be in the medium to heavy range on a daily basis.
• Stooping - performed when filling orders or putting away product assigned to floor level locations. May bend at the waist.
• Kneeling - may kneel when filling orders or putting away product assigned to floor level locations.
• Crouching - on a rare basis.
• Necessary for all warehouse functions: near acuity (vision clarity at 20’ or less); color vision; field of vision - must be able to see up or down, right or left; pushing and pulling, operating pallet jack, filling orders, packing orders, and handling heavy and lightweight large, bulky items [ i.e., rolls of foam/bubble, kraft wrapping material, cases of toilet paper/towels)]; reaching, extending arms and hands in any direction; handling - seizing, holding, grasping, and turning (or otherwise working with hand(s)); and talking - must be able to communicate with management, co-workers, other departments, and customers.

• Some exposure to weather elements due to open shipping/receiving dock area.
• Temperature maintenance monitored by roof fans to increase air circulation in hot conditions and overhead heating unit for cold conditions.
• Must be able to work at elevated heights up to 30 feet.
