Job Summary:Veritex Community Bank is seeking an experienced Project Manager aligning to the Project Management Office (“PMO”). The Project Manager may support various stages of an initiative ranging from supporting the creation of the business case including project charter, cost benefit analysis, and vendor selection as well as helping to deliver the project once approved. The candidate must have experience scoping projects of all sizes and complexity, including having a basic understanding of technology implementation projects and terminology. Comfortable creating in blank space. The candidate knows how to balance driving the desired outcomes with building relationships and ensuring the team is heard. The Project Manager is responsible for managing the project team to ensure successful project completion within an established scope, time, and cost and serve as liaison between team members and functional area leadership. The Project Manager will support the business from project initiation to delivery and through to post-implementation as well as coordinating with areas such as Training, Communications, Marketing, etc. to support all aspects of change as a result of the Project. Additionally, this role will learn and adopt the governance, templates, and routines provided by the Project Management Office. The Project Manager will also serve as an advocate of the PMO routines and templates. Building relationships and trust across the Enterprise and with our Business Partners are critical to the success of this role and the Project(s). Responsibilities and Duties:Know how to identify and quantify hard dollar benefits, as well as soft benefits as part of the Cost Benefit Analysis (“CBA”). Ability to extract scope and requirements from partner Lines of Business to support Vendor Selection and clearly write the associated Project Charter, capturing business need, goal, CBA, process, and timeline and activities to implement the project, among others.Define and document project risks, issues, actions, decisions, and deliverables that support the project and in collaboration with the project sponsor, senior management, and stakeholders.Facilitate project kick off, status, and all project related meetings, and send follow up communications resulting from these meetings.Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications and share status and milestones with key stakeholders on pre-determined timeframes to ensure continued alignment and awareness of project efforts.Set and continually manage project expectations with senior leadership and other stakeholders.Manage all aspects of the project using project management tools and consistently update project documentation using project management software tools and processes.Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.Anticipate potential risks to project prior to becoming an issue, pursues mitigation, escalating to PMO Lead and other key stakeholders in a timely manner.Effective Communicator to convey accurate information that is clear and concise whether verbal or written.Ability to move between detailed and high-level discussions/deliverables depending on audience and need.Ability to create documents based on project need that may be outside of traditional project management routine documents.Promote good working relationships across a project, cultivating the people skills needed to develop trust and communication among all of a project's stakeholders: its sponsors, those who will make use of the project's results, those who command the resources needed, and the project team members.Collaborate with other PMO team members to share best practices.Attention to regulatory requirements and compliance training applicable to position (Bank Secrecy Act, Customer Information Privacy, etc.)Broad communication requirements reflecting both technical & project-oriented updates for all facets of project delivery to both internal and external shareholders.Integrity, discretion, and respect for confidential information are essential. Job Skills and Qualifications:Strong people skills, with ability to negotiate, guide, and challenge in a manner elicits desired results while maintaining good relationshipsMust be fluent in MS Products (Office), especially in Excel / PowerPoint / VisioKnowledge of SmartSheet a plusPrevious Business Transformation, Project/Change Management experience, or Consulting experience from top tier management consulting firm, or similar role3 years banking/ financial sector experience is requiredStrong self-awareness and the ability to quickly assess group dynamics and modify style and approachDetail oriented, self-starter, proactive, and positive attitude highly desiredWorks well in ambiguous environments, driving participants toward clarity of tasks and deliverablesExcellent organizational management skillsAnalytical and creative thinker (thinks outside the box)Decisive and confident in conductTeam player but also able to work independentlyAdherence to change management procedureProject management of detailed and cross-functional dependencies in work effort (i.e. external dependencies, non-assigned resources, follow-up, tracking, Issues, Schedule, Risk)PMP Certification desiredBachelor’s degree
