Veritas Product Manager represent the voice of the customer and the market, managing the product through the product lifecycle, gathering, and prioritizing requirements, assessing the competitive landscape, and making sure that the product and marketing efforts support the overall company and product’s strategy and goals. Veritas is looking for a detail-oriented, driven Sr. Product Manager to help exponentially grow our NetBackup SaaS Protection product as the distinguished market leader in SaaS data protection, security and management industry. This Product Manager has a good understanding of the fundamentals of Product Management discipline within a fast-paced, dynamic env’t that requires problem solving, quick critical thinking in making decisions and collaborative. This individual will be heavily focus on “the What” (defining user stories and epics with UX design, development, and product lead) and helping work with development to prioritize “the What” and “the How” (execution). Working with the Product Lead, this individual will provide inputs to the Product Lead to define “the why” or strategy and “the Who” as in collect data from Sales/Go-to-Market. Responsibilities: Managing the product backlog and prioritizing them based on changing requirements Monitoring and evaluating product progress at each stage of the process Overseeing all stages of product creation including design and development Liaising with the product team and end-users to deliver updates Requirements: 3 – 5 years’ experience as a Product Owner or Sr. Product Owner (also consider someone who’s roots are as a developer or technical QA engineer as well as Sr. Business Analyst looking to move into Product Management). Strong attention to detail and experience defining user stories, epics and use cases to help define requirements Data driven problem solver who is apt at looking at data to make decisions when discussing tradeoffs with development and UX regarding features Collaborative who is skilled at leading but also building consensus to make decisions. Strong sense of urgency someone who gets stuff done with the right balance of speed and quality. Strong self-starter that enjoys working in a fast-paced software development environment. Ability to influence and build relationships with people across all levels and organizations.
