We are looking for a great Engineering Program Manager. Someone who can drive a team of disparate skills and interests to deliver business-critical products on time, with fantastic quality, and on budget. Veritas is changing the backup and recovery game for customers—built on industry-leading backup software, our appliances address the technical complexities of modern data protection and optimized secondary storage for companies of all sizes. Responsibilities: • Own, manage and facilitate key processes to enable success of product releases • Ensure basic release hygiene is maintained and aggressively manage critical path • Work across organizational boundaries to enable efficient escalation and decision making • Take initiative to identify opportunities and improve program management capabilities • Escalate judiciously to direct executive attention where it is most urgently needed • Measure and monitor progress based on appropriate metrics • Identify, suggest, and implement improvements to release management processes, agile methodology, and engineering practices • Collaborate across a network of Program Managers, Product Managers, and Technical Leaders Qualifications • BS Computer Science or related field • 4-6 years of previous release and/or project management experience • 2-4 years development experience highly desired • Intimate understanding of software development lifecycle, Agile methodology & best practices • Effective leadership skills • Excellent written & verbal communication skills • Certification in PMP, Agile, or Scrum Master desired but not required Note: Some travel required to Roseville, MN if new hire is not local.
