Automation Engineer Responsibilities:

• Responsible for design and implementation of key automation aspects of an equipment project, often including PLC, vision, HMI programming.
• Design of electrical panel(s)
• Design and PLC programming (configuration of PLC program) on standard equipment/products
• Lead and perform complex quality checks which require an intricate understanding of the machine control systems and operations

• Must be local to Kalamazoo area
• Must have 5 years of experience as an Automation Engineer
• Position requires onsite work only in Kalamazoo, MI
• Must be willing to work occasional weekends
• Work experience must include:
• Delta V
• Foxboro
• Wonderware platforms
• Rockwell
• RSLogix5000
• FactoryTalk View Site Edition (SE) and Machine Edition (ME)
• PanelView Plus
• PlantPAX
• Siemens Simatic APT (Siemens TI-505 PLC controller): This work experience is preferred since the PLC is a legacy controller. Willing to train in Siemens TI-505 PLCs, providing that that candidate is knowledgeable with Rockwell PLCs
• Responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting automated utility, processing, filing, inspection, and packaging equipment
• Generate user requirement specifications for control systems
• Able to make minor modifications to code and HMI graphics for smaller changes
• Must be able to read logic and perform programming as well as update control system documentation
• Contribute technical content to validation protocols on automation systems and perform execution of protocols

Salary Range: 120,000-141,000
