Protegrity is seeking a Director, Compensation and Benefits to plan and oversee our company's compensation and benefits programs. The role reports to the Chief People Officer and makes up part of the core Human Resources team.

The role will develop and implement a best practice compensation and benefits program designed to attract and retain exceptional people. The role will be responsible fordeveloping and implementing a comprehensive total reward strategy, reviewing and modifying existing compensation and benefits programs, ensuring these programs comply with current legislation, and managing day-to-day compensation and benefits-related activities.

To be successful as a compensation and benefits manager, the individual should be able to develop competitive and cost-efficient programs that will assist with top talent acquisition and employee retention.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement global total rewards strategy 
  • Develop, maintain, and update compensation and benefit strategies for a global organization 
  • Manage all aspects of compensation strategy, benchmarking, and compensation functions including but not limited to: survey participation, job evaluation, salary structure development, and equity and incentive plan design. 
  • Serve as point person for all benefit inquiries 
  • Communicate with third-party services to negotiate benefit plans and resolve benefit-related issues 
  • Ensure all compensation related programs, policies, and procedures comply with current legislation 
  • Work with employees to address compensation and benefit-related issues 
  • Ensure annual benefit filings are completed in a timely and accurate manner 
  • Create communication plans and strategies to support all compensation programs and initiatives 
  • Create and lead employee training and development as it relates to compensation and benefits 
  • Proactively research compensation trends, developments, innovative approaches, tools, and legal requirements 
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition team on best-practice compensation strategies and benchmarking 
Qualifications:
  • Extensive knowledge of benefits and compensation programs, policies, procedures, and applicable legislation 
  • Proven experience leading and managing in-house benefit programs 
  • Proven experience leading benefit plan administration from early stage development 
  • Deep experience with benefit compliance, (e.g., ACA, Form 5500 filing) and advanced level of knowledge of laws relating to benefits, HIPAA, ERISA, PPACA, etc. 
  • Experience supporting / leading benefit selection process, including competency in building financial models to support benefit plan analysis 
  • Proven ability to build, develop and implement creative and effective compensation programs for global enterprise technology organizations 
  • Strong analytical skills with experience conducting salary surveys and analyzing data 
  • Experience managing and leading end-to-end open enrollment processes: including creating employee materials for benefit plan decision, hosting employee training, testing to ensure employee coverage selection is supported, responding to employee queries, resolving issues 
  • Strong process expertise, including, but not limited to, managing administration for change of life events and liaising with finance / payroll 
  • Proven experience with 401K administration 
  • Prior experience partnering with finance and providing 401k and benefit audit support 
  • Proven competency in administering health plans and deep understanding of health plan terminology 
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills 
  • Excellent project management skills 
  • Strong data analytic skills and attention to detail 
  • Basic understanding of global compensation and benefits trends 
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management, finance, business administration, or a related field 
  • 5 - 8 years of experience as a compensation and benefits manager, or in a related role 
  • Experience managing benefits and compensation in a Human Resources Information System (HRIS) 
  • Experience with ADP WFN a plus 
  • Experience working with a fast-paced growing company a plus
