For more information, visit http://www.vericast.com or follow Vericast on LinkedIn.Job DescriptionResponsibilities:• The safe and efficient operation of powered industrial trucks while loading and unloading trucks on the receiving dock.• Moving materials to and from the production area and cleanliness of the warehouse.• Preparing for shipments out of the facility following all procedures.• Posting all raw materials movements on the computerized tracking system. What will your day look like?Forklift Operations: Move material within and from the warehouse to the production area, and return finished products to the shipping area. Unload trucks of raw materials and load recycling material on trucks in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner. Move all materials within the production area and locate copies.· Organizational: Work closely with machine leads and site supervision to manage raw materials, to ensure continuous production of finished products. Remove pallets, strapping and packing materials, and move recycled materials to the recycle area. Interpret work orders and perform appropriate duties to support production machine changeovers. Receive and store all postal equipment until needed by production. As required by USPS, complete all required paperwork, to ensure proper loads before dispatching trucks.· Administrative: Perform good housekeeping techniques at the job site areas, properly handling paper waste and debris, and removing all potential safety hazards from the general area. Maintain facility by applying Environmental Health & Safety and Good Housekeeping Standards as needed. Weigh as required and place in proper location all finished products following company/department guidelines. Produce in/out reports and complete Problem Material Reports. Other duties as assigned.QualificationsCertifications & LicensuresPowered Industrial Truck Certification - REQUIREDKnowledge/Skills/AbilitiesAbility to operate a forkliftAbility and knowledge to operate a pallet jack.Ability to multi-task.Ability to assess obstacles and make minor non-mechanical adjustments to ensure safety and maintenance procedures are followed.Ability to speak and communicate effectively utilizing the English language. Basic math skills.Attention to detail.Team player Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Communicates with team members.Share equipment knowledge with team members.Participate in the Team Business Meetings.Assist with work prioritization to meet production commitments and goals.Ability to work overtime beyond regular schedule to complete work assignments as required.Physical Demands & Work ConditionsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to carry up to 50 lbs, push and pull up to 50 lbs, twist, stand, walk, reach, and grip/grasp throughout the shift. Employees are also required to lift up to 50 lbs, squat, and kneel occasionally.
