Summary of Position Functions

The Sales Administrator facilitates the efficient operation of the sales department by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks.

Essential Position Functions

  • Collaborates with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of sales activities.
  • Generates and distributes sales reports, forecasts, and other relevant documentation to the sales leaders.
  • Maintains and updates customer databases, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
  • Retrieves information as requested from records, email, minutes, and other related documents.
  • Maintains and tracks independent consulting agreements and terms.
  • Ensures all sales representatives receive and sign annual incentive plans.
  • Prepares summaries of data when needed.
  • Coordinates sales meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for the sales team as needed.
  • Schedules and coordinates customer events.

Education and Qualifications

  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must have experience using Salesforce.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of Veregy's services and processes is required which can be obtained through intellect, technical inclination, and dedication to gain such knowledge.
  • Knowledge (Intermediate to advanced) of various operating systems, software products (e.g. MS Office, etc.), is required.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time / workload.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, business, professional, and technical documents.
  • Ability to effectively respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and staff.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to write presentations, articles, routine reports, proposals, and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management and staff.
  • Ability to speak and communicate effectively before customers and staff.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and tactfully negotiate priority with end users.
  • Ability to work under deadline pressure and extra hours if needed.
