As a sales representative, you will have the opportunity to foster established customer relationships and deliver exceptional service. It is crucial to comprehend and effectively communicate complex technical information while offering insightful recommendations.

Your key responsibilities in this role will be to:

  • Work directly and travel to visit customers on-site, providing industrial water testing and analysis services

  • Collaborate with a variety of customers to achieve effective and profitable sales in an assigned territory, valuing different perspectives and business models.

  • Cultivate lasting relationships with diverse customers by growing new accounts, maintaining existing ones, and demonstrating the value of Veolia's products and services customized to their unique business models.

Qualifications

Core Qualifications: 

  • A B.Sc. Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical), Biology, or Chemistry, OR a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline plus 2 years' experience in the water treatment field, is an advantage for direct sales, customer service, accounts, team leadership, or industry operations, acknowledging the significance of diverse backgrounds and experiences.

  • Possess the ability and willingness to work in diverse environments, such as industrial, manufacturing, and power industry facilities, appreciating and valuing the diversity of work styles and approaches, while also demonstrating independence and self-starting capabilities after proper training.

  • Utilize proficiency in the Google Suite, including Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides, to effectively apply solid communication skills (both written and verbal) and demonstrate sales and people skills, recognizing the significance of diverse communication and interpersonal abilities.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Ability and willingness to travel within territory, as required.
  • Ability and willingness to reside in assigned region, or within customer proximity requirements, as required.
  • Work frequently in a heavy industrial environment requiring use of Personal Safety Equipment and exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and other similar irritants typical of those found in refinery, chemical plants, power plants, etc., as required. 
  • Ability and willingness to comply with stringent drug testing and background check requirements set by customer safety requirements, as required.
  • Basic Computer Skills including MS Office, and other software programs within a Windows environment.
  • To the extent that you are applying for a position that requires you to operate a company owned / leased or rented vehicle for company business, you must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to submit to a check of your driving record.

Other Useful Skills and Abilities:

  • Additional experience in technical sales in Water Treatment/Water Process industry
  • Working knowledge of HPI and/or CPI Process industry
  • Ability to effectively manage time and budget or expense parameters.
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to prove sales record. 
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong presentation and/or public speaking skills
  • Demonstrated computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
